Poker Offers and Rake — How to Read Them Honestly

Poker offers are not casino offers. They are usually rebates tied to the rake you generate rather than money handed over. This page explains the mechanics so you can judge any offer yourself. We deliberately publish no percentages, amounts or guarantees here: current offers, if any exist at all, come from the club in writing and nothing on this page is an offer.

    • No figure on this page: current club offers, if any, are given in writing by the club
    • Nothing here is an offer from ClubGG, GGPoker or NSUS Group
    • Rake is the fee taken from pots and entries; rebates are calculated from it
    • A bonus that releases against rake is worth only the part you would realistically reach
    • Any promise of guaranteed profit is a warning sign, not a promotion
    • 21+ only; play for amounts you are comfortable losing

    How a rake-based offer works

A percentage-style poker bonus normally sits in a pending balance and releases in chunks as you pay rake. The relevant question is never the headline percentage; it is how much rake unlocks each chunk and how long you have before the rest expires.

Work that out before you accept anything. If clearing the full amount requires more rake than you would realistically generate in the window, the effective value is only the fraction you would actually reach.

Why rake is the number that matters

Rake is the largest fixed cost in poker and it applies to every hand you play, winning or losing. Any rebate is a reduction of that cost — it does not create an edge and it is not income.

If a club describes a rebate, ask for the exact terms in writing: what it is calculated from, which game types count, when it is paid and what ends it. An offer that cannot be written down is not an offer.

Judging an offer without taking numbers on trust

Estimate your own monthly rake, apply whatever terms you were given in writing, and use the realistic rather than maximum portion. That number is what the offer is worth to you, and it is the only honest way to compare two of them.

Also weigh the games themselves. A generous rebate at tables that are tough or empty is worth less than a smaller rebate where you can actually get action at your stakes.

    Terms that quietly reduce value

Rake counted only from certain game types, tiers that reset, a minimum threshold before payment, and expiry on unreleased funds. Each is legitimate if disclosed, and each changes the maths.

Anything described as a "guaranteed profit bonus" is not a poker promotion. Offers reduce cost; they do not create an edge, and no honest club claims otherwise.
