Israeli law (Penal Code, sections 224-235) bans games of money, lotteries, and gambling — including poker for real money. However, poker training with no real money (Play Money) is fully legal. You can play at home with friends without money, and you can play online on training platforms like ours — with no legal issue whatsoever.
The legal test is simple: if there\'s any chance to win real money or its equivalent — it\'s gambling and forbidden. If chips are virtual, not funded with money, and don\'t exchange for any prize in the real world — it\'s training, and it\'s allowed. Our platform falls squarely in the second category.
Rabbinical authorities are divided, but the vast majority forbid card games for money ("mesachek b\'kubya") because a loser\'s loss lacks true consent. However, practice play with no money — permitted per most authorities. On our platform there\'s no money at all, so even the strict can practice with peace of mind.
Most serious Israeli players have moved to ClubGG — the club app of the GGPoker network, where every club is closed and independently managed under its own Club ID. The largest Israeli club is GGClub, with full Hebrew support, daily tournaments and a community of thousands of local players. Unlike a public lobby, you play inside a known community with an Israeli representative reachable 24/7.
